This year Messe Düsseldorf, in co-operation with red dot projects, will for the first time award the “REHACARE DESIGN AWARD” for design-oriented innovations from the areas of rehabilitation, prevention, integration and care at the “REHACARE INTERNATIONAL” trade fair on 15 October. The competition assesses products from the medical sector that are characterised by humane and sensitive product design.
In total, 96 entries from 67 countries reflect the great interest of companies from the industry to position themselves in the international market with the help of excellent design.
The independent jury awarded 20 entries in total with the “REHACARE DESIGN AWARD: GOOD DESIGN” for extraordinary design achievements with regards to form and function; three products received the “REHACARE DESIGN AWARD: BEST DESIGN” for outstanding design achievements.
Furthermore the jurors honoured one product, which stood out due to its particularly high degree of innovation. The distinction “REHACARE DESIGN AWARD: BEST INNOVATION” was awarded to the “e-motion M15” power assist for wheelchairs by Ulrich Alber GmbH in Albstadt, Germany, which was developed in co-operation with einmaleins Büro für Gestaltung in Burgrieden, Germany.
