Markus Wild was born in Hilden in 1961. In 1988, he graduated with an industrial design diploma from the Folkwang University in Essen. While still a student, he gained experiences as a freelancer working at the design department of the Munich based Siemens company. In 1990, he founded the owner-operated WILDDESIGN office, which in 1996 started to focus on medical design and in 2005 was incorporated as WILDDESIGN GmbH. In 2006, Markus Wild founded subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Shanghai under the umbrella of the WILDDESIGN group. In August 2007, the medical design division became the independent WILDDESIGN medical GmbH & Co. KG. WILDDESIGN specialises in product and brand development for both small enterprises and global players.
