Cofounder of the Milani design &
consulting AG
Francesco Milani, born in 1937, attended the Basel School of Design and trained as a graphic designer from 1953 to 1957, followed by a one-year internship in the field of photography. During his first four years of working with architect, product designer and commercial artist Franco Grigniani, he discovered his enthusiasm for product design. In 1963, he founded his own office for industrial design, consulting and visual communication services with a primary focus on high-tech products, medical technology, electric power tools for sheet metal working, mechanical engineering, control systems, as well as photographic flashlight devices. As cofounder of Milani design & consulting AG, established in 1997, he extended his portfolio to include marketing and cultural consultation, as well as engineering up to product maturity.
