The electronic aid is a symbol-based communication device. Due to its simple concept, it can be operated intuitively by both children and adults and it is suitable for situations ranging from expressing basic needs to complex communication. The product has an attractive form and creates an appealing connection between the technical device, its user and the conversational partner. Interactive visual scenes show the context of the respective communication situation, thus enabling people with speech comprehension problems to follow the conversation more easily. Target groups are children who cannot master or have not yet mastered written language, adults with limited speech comprehension and people with cognitive disabilities. The exterior of the device was adapted to its predominantly young user group. |
